Tony Award-winning choreographer and tap dancer Savion Glover is featured in the world premiere of Diaspora of the Drum by Cleveland composer Eric Gould. Performing with The Cleveland Chamber Symphony and jazz ensemble with banjo and African percussion, the piece will showcase Glover in spirited tap solos that reflect the history of dance rhythms from Africa to the Americas. Also featured is The Starz and Stripes 4ever for Now, patterned by Glover after John Coltrane’s My Favorite Things.

This unique cultural program will raise much-needed funds for The Settlement enabling it to enact its mission to provide high quality music education and arts-related programs to students of all ages regardless of their ability to pay.
