Exposure to music and the creative arts as a young child significantly correlates with that child’s success later in life.
The Center for Early Childhood at The Music Settlement provides children (birth to age 8) with the opportunities for creative expression that build confidence, brain development, kindergarten readiness, and parent-child bonds.
Our morning and afternoon preschool, year-round full-day school, and Arts for the Young programs provide exceptional music, dance, and art experiences for the children of Greater Cleveland. We also offer children with special needs the support they require to encourage development of their social, motor, and cognitive skills.
For more than 60 years, The Music Settlement’s Center for Early Childhood has sown the seeds of creative expression in thousands of children, earning The Music Settlement a reputation for excellence in all aspects of early childhood education. Our school program has received the highest ratings from the State of Ohio’s Step Up to Quality initiative and our graduates go on to do better in school than their peers. Our experienced faculty exceeds educational standards as established by the Ohio Department of Human Services; a majority of our instructors have earned a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Education or related fields.
Financial aid and subsidies are available through a number of sources, including Cuyahoga County’s Universal Pre-K initiative: please call 216-421-5806 xt. 160 for information, enrollment assistance, and a campus tour.
